At Mobilise Cloud, we believe in the power of technology to shape futures. Our recent involvement in the DVLA Code Challenge, as part of the DVLA STEM Programme. This event wasn’t just a competition; it was a celebration of young minds flourishing in the realms of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
Since its inception in 2014, the DVLA STEM Programme has been a beacon of inspiration across Wales, fostering grass-roots learning in STEM subjects. With our support and the DVLA lead, the programme has transformed into a pivotal platform for primary to sixth form students. This year, we witnessed the joy and excitement of over 300 children participating in the Code Challenge, a scene of pure innovation and enthusiasm (and 2500 more online).
Over 50 schools across Wales received prizes, but the real prize was the invaluable experience and knowledge gained by these young minds; this is a programme that Mobilise Cloud is proud to support.
These students didn’t just write code; they crafted digital stories, solving problems and expressing creativity in ways that left us all in awe.
Schools like Our Lady & St Michael’s primary school (Abergavenny) and Olchfa Comprehensive School (Swansea), won some prizes including brand new computers.
But it’s more than just winning. The DVLA Code Challenge is about community, collaboration, and sparking a lifelong interest in STEM. It’s about showing these bright young students the world of opportunities that await them in the tech industry. For us at Mobilise Cloud, being a part of this journey is not just a responsibility; it’s a privilege. By investing in the next generation’s education, we’re investing in a brighter, more technologically adept future for us all.
As we look towards the future, our commitment to supporting the DVLA STEM Programme remains. We believe in the power of these young minds to change the our world, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next.
